Federal Changes Impacting Financial Aid<\/strong><\/p>\n

On July 4, 2025, legislation (One Big Beautiful Bill\/H.R. 1- An act to provide reconciliation<\/a>) was signed into law by President Trump. This act has implications for the administration of federally funded student aid starting on July 1, 2026. The Federal Grad PLUS Loan is a credit based federal loan for graduate students. Interest that accrues on the loan is not subsidized by the federal government. Repayment can be deferred while the student is enrolled in school<\/a> for at least half-time.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n
