To our UCF Family,<\/p>\n

Saying goodbye isn\u2019t easy, especially to the people and a place we have grown to love dearly over the past year.<\/p>\n

Leading UCF has been the greatest honor of our lives. The reason isn\u2019t because of the many accomplishments we\u2019ve celebrated together. It\u2019s because of you \u2014 the students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who make this institution so remarkable.<\/p>\n

Leading UCF has been the greatest honor of our lives.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We know we\u2019ve been through some tough challenges, and the difficulties we\u2019re now facing with COVID-19 have brought uncertainties and stress for our community and beyond.<\/p>\n

We also know we\u2019ll get through it, together \u2026 because Knights always Charge On!<\/p>\n

Katie and I are sad we couldn\u2019t say farewell in person, so we made a short video for our UCF family to share our gratitude for each of you. We leave inspired by your constant commitment to overcome every obstacle and your enduring optimism about the future.<\/p>\n

You will be in very good hands with\u00a0President Alexander Cartwright<\/a>, whose commitment to excellence, access, innovation and opportunity will ensure that UCF\u2019s brightest days are truly ahead.<\/p>\n

In the words of one our favorite philosophers, Winnie the Pooh: \u201cHow lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goodbye, Knight Nation! Though perhaps \u201cgoodbye\u201d is too strong a word, for UCF has become a part of us. Because of you, we will be forever Knights!<\/p>\n
