Animation Career Review base their rankings on academic reputation, employment data, admission selectivity, depth and breadth of the programs, value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness, graduation rates and retention rates.<\/p>\n<p>Animators in the U.S. are estimated to make average annual salary of $111,130, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. UCF graduates have gone on to work at top entertainment companies like Disney Pixar, Dreamworks, Electronic Arts, Laika and Universal Orlando.<\/p>\n<p>Students of the animation tracks prove to be in demand even before graduation, as some have been actively hired while still attending UCF. Most recently, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ucf.sharepoint.com\/sites\/UCFTeam-SVAD-Marketing\/Shared%20Documents\/General\/Editorial\/2023\/Lyn%20Oquendo%E2%80%99\">Lyn Oquendo \u201923<\/a><\/strong> a career at Warner Bros. Animation during their final semester. Some graduates have worked on award-winning productions \u2014 such as <strong>Theresa Falcone \u201914<\/strong> and <strong>Christopher Sanchez \u201914 <\/strong>who worked on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-grads-helped-bring-pixars-soul-to-life\/\">Soul<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/alumni-bring-smallfoot-big-screen\/\">Smallfoot<\/a> <\/em>together. Falcone has also worked on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-grad-on-what-it-was-like-to-work-on-toy-story-4\/\">Toy Story 4<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Other accomplished graduates include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Caleb Hecht \u201911<\/strong>, lighting TD for Weta X and who has worked on <em>Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 <\/em>and <em>X-Men: Dark Phoenix<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-student-animation-alum-credited-for-work-on-avatar-the-way-of-water\/\">Tal Minks \u201918 \u201922<\/a><\/strong>, lead animator for Steamroller Animation and who worked on <em>Avatar: The Way of Water <\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jessica Minoso \u201915<\/strong>, render QC for Lightstorm Entertainment and who worked on <em>Avatar: The Way of Water <\/em>and Blizzard Games&#8217; Heroes of the Storm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paula Navarro \u201921<\/strong>, production coordinator for Adult Swim working on <em>Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm<\/em> and <em>Bird Girl<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWhat makes SVAD so unique is that we are coupling world class studio art with cutting edge industry practice. These factors combined with the accessibility and affordability of Florida\u2019s State University system make SVAD a top choice for animation in comparison with more expensive private schools,\u201d says Associate Professor of Emerging Media <strong>Matt Dombrowski \u201905 \u201908MFA<\/strong>. \u201cOur data for these rankings is a testament to our amazing faculty members\u2019 connections with our vast alumni network. SVAD\u2019s animation tracks have collectively showcased their student work in over 700 film festivals, winning international recognition by earning more than 150 awards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talented
